This version of the CFSNA Application Form is designed to be completed online and then either emailed as an attachment to the email address at the bottom of the form or printed and mailed with payment to the address at the bottom of the form. Last updated Nov 10, 2022.

Our objectives:

Promote the general interests of the Clan and to cultivate the spirit of kinship and fellowship among its members throughout the Americas and with the Clan Fraser of Scotland; to collect and preserve literary, historical and genealogical records, documents and relics relating to the history of the Clan and Scotland; to honor our Scottish heritage and to cultivate among our members and descendants the pride and spirit of our Scottish ancestors; to render aid to all clansmen should they meet with adversity.

Qualification for Membership:

Regular Member — Any person of Scottish ancestry bearing the name Fraser in any of its various forms and spellings, or any Sept name of the Clan Fraser, including the spouse or descendant of such person.  A sept is an English word for a division of a family, especially of a Scottish or Irish. The word may derive from the Latin saeptum, meaning “enclosure” or “fold”, or via an alteration of “sect”. The term is used in both Ireland and Scotland, where it may be translated as sliocht, meaning “progeny” or “seed”.

SEPT NAMES OF CLAN FRASER:  Abernethy, Bisset, Bissett, Brewster, Cowie, Fraser, Frasier, Frasure, Frazer, Frazier, Fresell, Freser, Frew, Frezel, Friscal, Frisell, Frissell, Frizel, Frizell, Frizelle, Frizzell, Gilruth, Grewar, Gruar, Gruer, Lovat, Lovett, MacGrewar, MacGruer, MacIllrick, MacIlriach, MacImmey, MacKim, MacKimmie, MacShimes, MacSimon, MacSymon, MacTavish, Oliver, Sim, Sime, Simon, Simons, Simpson, Sims, Simson, Sym, Syme, Symon, Symons, Twaddle, Tweeddale, and Tweedie. 

Associate Member — Any person not of the surname of Fraser or its septs but who have legitimate interest in the purposes and objectives of CFSNA®. Associate members shall not have a vote on the Executive Committee or in a general elections of the Society.
